Default This is what I get trying to c/c as PFR

My hud doesn't work on stars; I'll have to fix that; but this guy seemed like a standard tag. I had some random notes on him on the lines he took in other pots, but nothing relevant.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    BB ($100)
    UTG ($56.55)
    MP ($103.55)
    CO ($100)
    Button ($226.35)
    Hero (SB) ($102)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, 5
4 folds, Hero bets $3, BB calls $2

    Flop: ($6) 9, A, 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $4, Hero calls $4

    Turn: ($14) 10 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $11, Hero calls $11

    River: ($36) J (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $28, Hero hates life

If he's thinking then I think you have to call because:

    1) You're at the top of your range
    2) Your average hand here is so weak he'd probably make a smaller vbet

However, if he's just read somewhere that if you have a good hand you should bet it hard and not slowplay, this is a std fold..

I'd fold the turn, don't mind the flop, river is a clear fold

I never understood the reasoning in 1.). So what if he has the strongest hand he figures to have here? It doesn't follow from this that his opponent is bluffing often enough to call down just because he's "thinking." Yes, a perfect opponent could bluff here with impunity if he knew you were never calling after this action, but it doesn't makes sense to assume your opponent has this knowledge and is also using it optimally.
