Default What kind of range against limpers?

Sorry for creating a whole thread just for this small question. But its been bugging me...

~ 30% of the SNG players I play always limp every button. This is very exploitable, but I never know just what range I should be raising with when they limp. Its usually something like every PP, AJ+ KQ. But overall I dunno?

Depends on how comfortable with your post-flop play and your read on your opponent. If they're limping 50%+ and never raising I'm raising to 4BB with Q2+, any suited connectors or double gappers, and basically any 2 suited cards that could make a straight (ex. Q8s).

I try to do this several times early. The effect on their game is two-fold. They tighten up their hand selection and fold more of their buttons, and after they play back at me 2 or 3 times I tighten up my hand selection. Against weaker players 88+ and AQ+ are monster hands once they see you're repopping and folding if they 3 bet.

It's just really a it depends type of question. If the player is a station just check with hands that aren't strong and keep the pots small. If the player is limping weak and raising strong, then you wanna play him aggressively. It also heavily depends if he's limp/folding or not, cause if he is then you can raise a lot because picking up the dead money alone is so significant.

limping hu isn't really "super exploitable." In fact i bet i could beat many hu sng players without raising one button. Many players just don't know what to do against it and play it poorly.
