Default what is your calling range here?

villain is 31/19/2 over 800+ hands. i must've just played small amounts with this guy over a long period of time because i cant remember him really at all. he c/r flop 9%, 3 bets 4%. so i doubt he has a pair bigger over pair. so far at the table we havent had any history. ive just taken town a few small pots from various players around the table. it seems like we have to have KK+ or a set.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (5 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($211.70)
    Button ($224.95)
    SB ($130.65)
    BB ($400.15)
    UTG ($196.30)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 9, 9.
1 fold, Hero raises to $6, 2 folds, BB calls $4.

    Flop: ($13) 7, 2, 8 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $10, BB raises to $394.15, Hero folds.

    Final Pot: $33

If he's never done this before, I'm calling here with like a set or AKcc

If he's done funny stuff like this before, then I'll widen my range. If I think he's a total idiot I snap the nines.

    87, 22-88, monster combo draws

edit: AKcc is good too. can anyone explain why A9cc has less equity versus a range of top two/sets/combo draws (also 2 combos of TT) than AKcc?

yea my bad non OESFD combo draws have only about 30% equity versus top two+/AKcc/T9cc/65cc/69cc

i've never seen him do something like this. also i dont think he had lost a big pot since i sat down, so i have no reason to believe hes tilting.

    My thoughts are:

It looks like he has 78, although I know that's one hand and not a range. It's a reasonable hand that call from the bb and it's a hand he feels he's ahead now but is very vulnerable, hence the huge weird overshove.

But if we make more realistic villain range then calling range would be sets, 87 and I can't find a fold with QQ+ most likely but maybe should . Can we call with NFD or big pair? Not alot of equity vs 2 pr + sets and not getting good pot odds.

    hmmm 22,77,88,78 for sure

I'd be super tempted with 9T clubs but its probably pretty bad, as I always seem to be up against a better FD.

I'm not even sure if Ax clubs are that good, esp if its possible he has 7x clubs, but its close if he ever has worst FD's. AK/AQ clubs though I'd go with.

I'm betting this is the nuts hoping that something like 8x or 99 wont fold. Maybe a mistyped raise too.
