as a serious answer, I would say don't tilt. Most players are absolutely incapable of this though, so next best thing would be to keep it under control and don't make huge mistakes.

In that case, you shouldn't leave, no matter how good the whale is running. If dropping a few buyins worries you, you are playing too high. Also, sitting out is better then leaving when you're tilting, because you often aren't getting your seat back if a truly horrible player is spewing all over the place at the table.
