I like your play in the first hand because its kind of a blocking bet and kind of a value bet. He can't fold his J9, but it lets you escape his flush if you need. You weren't beating a lot of hands on this river but I think you played it well.

Second hand is a pretty shitty situation since it looks like the worst possible card just hit. Check-calling like you did is a good option, but this board was so stupid I probably would have just folded to what looks like a value-bet. Just give him a % of bluffing and fold otherwise because theres no hands here that call down and then aren't helped by this river. Well there might be, but I can't see em without my magic 8ball. Except for KJo, but you won't see that often here.
