I'd go broke here too against a stack his size, unless I had a very good read that he was very tight.

This is why you reraise preflop with JJ, but I'm not folding JJ there regardless with his stack size.

you know you might be beat on the flop, but you also must call because of stack size.

    Q. Is poker Gambling?
    A. Do you use correct bankroll management?

So how does this line pan out...

How much do you re-raise to preflop? 7? 10?

If you re-raise to 7, villan has ~20 left at the $14 flop - so whats the worst flop your willing to see and get the rest in? One overcard? None?

If you re-raise to 10, villan has ~17 left on a $20 pot.

    Which situations best and why?

reraise preflop to 8 ish. opp pushes u fold.
Opp calls then u prob left him with too little behind to get away from the hand. I dont think u can lay this down no matter what way u play it.
