Default who is the donk in this hand?

no good reads, but both of them seem like bad lags, ~40/20 stats. i'm playing tag. oh ya, flop was a quick min raise and call...

i figured on the turn they'd show how much they like their hand.
then i put BB on the flush draw and thought i may be ahead of button, so i raised to protect, and maybe get a loose call from AQ or something.

look ok? or am i being the donk?

I don't really like it. To me it seems more like, well I don't really know that to do so let's push and take it down now so I win a nice pot and don't have a hard decision.
(please correct me if I'm wrong)

What makes you think you're ahead of button?
You should either raise for value against button and let BB pay or call because you're way ahead/way behind. This push isn't getting called by anything worse then 2pair.

Somewhere in there you probably have a point. This isn't it.

If you want to argue for another line, you can start with putting these guys on ranges.

    I'll give it a try:

    BB: 3d4d+, 4d6d+, Kdxd.

    Button: 88, 44, A4, A8, Kd8d, Kd9d, AJ, AQ....because of his betsize maybe even 2d3d+, 4d6d+, Kdxd, 89?

Besides MAYBE AQ or AJ I don't see anything calling we beat.
Best draws out there are 10dJd and 7d6d and those shouldn't call.

I like it but I worry about BB slowplaying. Button has a weaker ace here quite a bit.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

i'm trying to not be result oriented, but lets say we know BB is on the flush draw, and button's range is either two pair or better, or like KK/A-x...

would it be better to just call on the turn, folding to a diamond or if button makes a big river bet?

while i dont agree with minsim that the push is never getting called by worse (since they're not good), calling then evaluating the river seems decent to me.

but maybe im result oriented....both of them insta called
the ~$1400 pot is shipped to button's three 9s, and BB mucks Jd5d.

In a multiway like this the shove is just too dangerous with just TPTK, IMO. Stacks are just too deep to make unnecessarily risky plays like this. I think you should play multiways like this with TPTK more straight up -- lead turn, then you get more information and prevent a potential check that could lead to a flush completing. AK shouldn't be played with one pair for an AI pot, IMO, especially not multiway

if you know button has you beat, instead of trying to make a risky move and outplay him, why not just fold and get your money in when you have the best of it?
