-They don't wanna play deepstack?

-They just noticed that there's no more fish left?

-They have their whole roll on the table and now wanna play two tables?

-They think they're 'due' to lose now since they just won?

-They're trying to tilt you?

just wondering if there is really any advantage to it.

seems like a scared to lose thing to do.

You can't lose what you don't put on the table.

Most Pros use the "Martingale" betting strategy to take all the maney.

Nuts, when we're moving down in/after a downswing, aren't we using some sort of reverse martingale strategy?

I've had it twice now that I'm having a downswing, move down and hit an upswing. Money wise, that's not a great thing, so it left me thinking about it. I'm probably staying at the lower level until my upswing is over and might wait until I've hit a decent downswing.

I rarely do this, however if I'm on a table because of a particular fish and its him that doubles me up then he leaves, I'll often leave as well. If he rebuys I obviously stay .

No and No.

To Martingale, you double your bet when you lose, so if you win the next you've covered your loses. Don't think that's really applicable to poker.

You're thinking that luck streaks are predictable, which they're not. If you KNEW you were going to get lucky you should have moved up to a stake where you're underrolled to maximize earnings. It's like the people now wondering if they should diversify they're portfolio. Fuck no, your stock isn't worth shit, keep it and wait for the upswing.

BR management means you've covered for WHATEVER happens. If you're worried about moving down build a bigger roll before moving up next time.
