why do these turns always come with my sets?

villain is a large donkey of sorts, 52/30/2. he probably wouldve called a flop 3bet shove with an osd or TP, so that definitely crossed my mind. the more i think about it the more i like it actually. anyways, the turn is pretty gross, but i still feel i have to get it in vs. him. just shove?

I think your flop raise is WAY WAY too small given that board texture AND the fact that you're OOP and the fact that he's showing some strength by raising you here.

Jack it up HARD to like $110ish. There are too many trouble cards on this board, or cards that will kill your action.

Against our range this has merit, but with a set of jacks I don't think it matters much as $76 commits us anyway.

I think the biggest bummer with that turn is that it will spook off some of his weaker hands when we put the rest of the money in.

i agree w/ griffey. raise needs to be much much bigger, something like 95 at least. you want to make villain understand that you are prepared to put the money in no matter what card comes if he decides to call. if you can make a big enough raise to make him believe that when he calls, it wont matter what random card fell on the turn even if it does "appear" to kill your action, it probably wont. only thing you have to worry about is if it is beating u, but after your huge raise on the flop u actually dont have to worry about that either since the money is destined to go in. even if youre behind, u have redraw outs. he could have a smaller set or 2 pr or something and by raising too small on the flop, not feeling committed, the turn card might scare him off when he would continue if the stacks were smaller in proportion to the pot.

okay flop raise size was not well thought through, i did it kind of fast without really thinking. given opp sucks ass, i shouldve made it closer to 100, i agree.

i bet 3/5 of his stack (95-105?) and call. There's still tons of value here and with so many turn outs i want to get my money in now instead of later. If you think this guy is folding two pair here to a 3/5 stack bet you're crazy.
