I just finished a game like this. This guy came in and sat to my right in a $50 NL 6max table. He was calling pot-sized bets with gutshot draws - hit one of those to destack me once, and then called a pre-flop raise with 56o, flopped two pair against my top pair top kicker, and broke me again. After starting the morning ahead, I was down two full buy-ins in a short amount of time, and he was sitting on a $190 stack. I was definitely steaming, but I felt like patience was in order - after all, this is exactly the kind of guy you want acting right behind you in no limit.
I just left the game after busting him out twice (including taking most of my money back from earlier, although some scavengers at the table took some too). I finished up $60, he was down about $100. On the last hand, I had aces and min-raised; he re-raised me by the min and two other guys called. I punched all-in and he called me with A6. Hilariously the board came down with an ace and two sixes on it, so what must have been an evil grin on his face was wiped clean when my cards got flipped over. He finally left after that and I went with him.
It was a rollercoaster ride morning - starting up $30, rocketing down $100, then going back up $60. Lot of work and patience for a $60 profit, but busting that guy a couple times was all the satisfaction I needed.
