Default why are we all still using...

PTBB instead of BB=Big Blinds? I never noticed the click box in the preferences tab of PT that says to treat BB as Big Blinds instead of Big Bets. Why is everyone still using Big Bets? Is it just the whole old dog, new trick thing?

From now on, i'll be using BB=Big Blinds and i only have 1 question...

    Who's coming with me?

(also, i know this probly should be in Tools of Poker, but this forum gets way more traffic, so please leave it here)

i use ptbb because it causes less confusion.

also, BB = big bet, bb = big blind. if you're gonna convert, use lower case which at least reduces confusion from 50% to 25%.

Partly it's historic reasoning, but it's not an option that's been in PT all that long AFAIK.

I'd love to, but oh the confusion. I ma use this just because it makes the math easier as well. I can't believe I never noticed it. Maybe just the month of August I will use it and see if I like. I would say that maybe using the PTBB as big bets and using PTbb as big blinds may be useful to avoid confusion.

Why confuse things? It's an arbitrary unit of measurement; the only best way is for everyone to use the same. We all use big bets; historic posts use big bets, poker articles use big bets.

If we *have* to have both, the PTBB should mean big bets and bb should mean big blinds, otherwise the only difference is in case and far too many people never use capitals.

ptbb, BB, bb, PTbb, ptBB whatever I still don't know the difference I just get as many as possible on PT without ( )'s!!!

    No hindsight for the blind.
This is gonna get majorly confusing when Holdem Manager is in final release. I think HM uses what we refer to as PTBB, so I guess that will be a good time to go into PT Preferences and check that box.

(also, i know this probly should be in Tools of Poker, but this forum gets way more traffic, so please leave it here)
There's no traffic because half the threads that should be in there are put elsewhere because there's no traffic..

Looks like it's going to be the next generation poker tracking software, though this depends on how PT v3 turns out. Looks like it's a great program, but I'm waiting for the final release version to try it out myself.

HM is pretty crazy ass...and in a good way.

the filters it has is amazing...for example you can filter all hands where you had 2nd set on the turn....or over pair on a paired board on the flop
