Default Won $ at SD %

    Hey guys,

I'm not sure if this question is gonna be too vague, or impossible to answer. The same way as it would be impossible to say what the ideal VPIP or PFR% is.

But I was wondering what an ideal range for Won$atSD% is?

Lately, I've noticed that this stat of mine has been somewhat low (low 40's), and I think this may be a big leak.

I feel as though players that often check through the turn for pot control, are often doing so intending to call a river bet. So I feel as though this may bias results towards a lower won$atSD, as we are getting to the river with more marginal hands, but also facing smaller bets on the river.

I'd appreciate any feedback on this, thanks!

that seems low. I think 47-54 is pretty normal but im not positive. if ur over 50k hands in the low 40s that could be a leak but idk its kind of a misunderstood stat.

    Thanks for the replies guys!

Anyone else have any W$SD% numbers to share, to get an idea of what standard for most solid profitable players are?

    I'm 50.26%.

Bit of background, I'm a winning 20NL, 30NL and 50Nl player, played 33 days of these stakes now and made $1,100 with a win-rate of 11.02 BB/100 over 25k hands.

    52% over 22k hands...when it's lower than 50%, I'm having a bad session/day.

A few points under 50% is fine as long as your winrate is still positive, but low 40s is too low (over a decent sample size).

I'm a little over 50%. Low 40's definitly seems too low.

I'm at 46% over my last ~45k hands while still running 6ptbb/100. My W$@SD% is never over 50 for long stretches, fwiw.

Im 54 after 22k hands this year.

As long as your winning big ones and losing small ones it probably doesn't matter much on this percentage. I'd expect, after everything balances out, it should be over 50 unless you know why it's not based on your particular strategy.

Great, thanks for the replies on this.

Definitely becomes clear that one of my goals should be getting that % higher. I'm sure improving that, would improve my winrate somewhat. Too many dumb river calls.

If your number is higher than avg, it doesn't necessarily mean you're blowing people out of the pots too much. It could also mean that you're not calling marginal hands, that are sometimes winners.
