I play this weak and check intending to fold to any bet that doesn't make me laugh.

You built a pot then saw a flop with a great hand out of position and didn't get there. In the long-run you'll win big if you don't give the farm away with AK inspired post-flop stupidity.

I agree with fnord on the flop, but I'd reraise to more like 20 pre flop with the button calling and bad position.
