    Default wtf DCal Zone...

Villain is DCal Zone from danny's high stakes interview, I'm not sure why he's playing 1/2 except he's probably playing a bizillion tables. I have less than 30 hands with him so no relevant stats or reads. Neither of us have been out of line since we sat down. This is my first 3 bet of him but not my first 3 bet at the table.

anyone play different and is this a call or fold?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (5 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    SB ($276.65)
    Hero ($203)
    UTG ($216.10)
    MP ($177.55)
    Button ($276.55)

Preflop: Hero is BB with T, K.
3 folds, SB raises to $8, Hero raises to $24, SB calls $16.

    Flop: ($48) 5, 7, 8 (2 players)
    SB checks, Hero checks.

    Turn: ($48) K (2 players)
    SB checks, Hero checks.

    River: ($48) 8 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $34, SB raises to $252.65, Hero?

I would fold because this would be a terrible bluff.

fold because dcalzone is a nit and has the nuts in every situation where you think if he is a tough player he may not always have the nuts.

I'm having a hard time understanding what he's repping though.

8x? Does he play AA this way?

Help me out what's his range here?

sometimes we gotta look at it in such a way that we dont base our decision on our understanding of how he plays. we're getting terrible odds and if we call we're at the bottom of our range, and that pretty much means callings bad

what yo uare doing is basically merging your range by checking the turn and jamming the river. problem is, since he checked every street and is OOP, an 8 is in his range. this is why its a terrible spot to do this. you should just bet the turn since it looks so obvious that you have a king or a QQ JJ type hand when u check it (but why would u have QQ/JJ if u checked the flop, right?) so only hand u can have is one holding a K. dcal is a nit and i wouldnt assume him to be a strong player, which is why i wouldnt put this play on him, hes not thinking on that deep of a level, im not even quite sure u were thinking on that level. i'd expect him to have u beat here like 95% of the time.

    bet turn get all in.

i dont mind the turn check because you can snap off alot of hands he decides to lead the river with. easy easey fold as played though.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

No I have no idea what team this kid is from i just the pic was hilarious.

Renton, why is the 3 bet size bad?

Blind vs Blind I should be making it smaller or larger?
  18. #18
sizing probably matters fuckall. hand choice is whats bad. do this with hands that arent dominated
  19. #19
I definitely agree the hand choice was bad, however I couldn't pass up the situation (bad habit trying to fix it).

I tanked and couldn't put him on a hand that beat me that played it that way so I called cause I'm a station and he had 56dd . However after I was really concerned that I made a bad call in a vacuum against this player.

lol 56dd. note it. whats wrong with 3 bet size???? seems a little small but not too small. we have position and the intiative and should have an advantage postflop. who cares about making bigger raises? I think we have enough going for us allready.
