Default Wtf does he have? 400nl

Opponent is 21/18/5.5 over 8,000 hands. Opens up 25% of the time from the button. Calls 3bets about 20% of the time.

I am fairly new to the table. No huge history between us previously that I remember bar a few 3bets

    No-Limit Hold'em, $4.00 BB (4 handed)

    saw flop

    Hero (Button) ($406.80)
    SB ($390.50)
    BB ($400)
    UTG ($943)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 7c 10d
UTG bets $12, Hero raises $36, 2 folds, UTG calls $24

    Flop: ($78) 5s 5d 10h
UTG bets $56, Hero calls $56

    Turn: ($190) 7d
    UTG checks, Hero checks

    River: ($190) 6c (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $100, UTG raises $851 (All-In)

I timed out on the turn as it happens (Go ipoker) although does anyone prefer a check?
Do you call and what did you think he has?

Personally I wouldn't bluff 3bet against someone who calls 3bets 20% of the time.

Edit: But then again I don't play 400NL so this may be standard at that level.
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

wat? thats an incredibly tight call 3bet %. good/average is like 35%ish.

20% is tight, but 35% is not good/average unless you are never 4betting.

You've gotten preety pwned in this hand, I'd just scratch my head and fold.
"This sure beats Super Mario Bros.!" is my ejaculation catch phrase.

LOL I'm really confused too. I think I woulda checked the turn anyways since I put him on a super polar range when he donks flop after flatting the 3b, like AA/KK, 5x, a bunch of air. It may seem nitty but I think I'd check back the river too, it's just too weird for someone to do this for thin value, and since your hand really doesn't beat much here, I think the information about what he's doing this with is almost as important as the 100$ you win a small % of the time by getting him to call w/ a worse hand vs the times he does something goofy like c/r and you have to fold.

sometimes we encounter rivers where we have to ask ourselves can we somehow bet for value even thin value, but also if we bet *any* amount, will we instantly fold to even a min-CR ?

i think this is a spot where just getting to showdown is pretty sweet.
imo fold pre is best option, suited is slightly different as we can hit a lot more equity on flops.

the *only* reason why i'd bet turn here is if villain thinks we are floating wide and he check/calls turns with AK/AQ type over cards so we are betting for value. other than that do you think he's ever playing hands like 88/99 underpairs this way? that's all your beating basically that *might* call the 100bux on riv
