Default Axs, Kxs, Qxs - All the same?

    Hey guys,

I'm just wondering if any of you play Kxs and Qxs the same way you play Axs (6 max only). (Limp from late position, unraised pot) I play these all the time, it just seems so rare for my Q high flush to run into higher flush. (I can only remember two times out of hundreds). I don't go any lower than Q though, and sometimes don't even play the Qxs at all actually.

    Agree?

They're similar but not quite as good. There is the admittedly small chance of a bigger flush, but also if you flop a pair it's more dangerous - if you flop the low pair your kicker isn't the top kicker; if you flop the high pair an ace might still take you down. Generally I will limp Ax suited from the button or small blind, and that's about it. I play Kx suited very occasionally at passive tables with lots of limpers; usually I fold it.

Depending on the table I'll limp Kxs but I don't like Qxs. PT says I spew chips all over in LP w/it. I think it might be because I'm getting stuck when I hit TPWK or two pair, as far as playing it solely for flushes, I don't think it works well because when you do hit your flush you don't recoup enough for all the times you played it and folded because it doesn't make good non-flush hands. I'm still limping in LP w/QJs tho.

yeah, most problems come in when you play these for anything but the flush. However I'm only playing these in unraised pots, period. Even fold them to a min-raise. Therefore I'm assuming that most of the time I'm not up against a premium hand, so if I do hit top pair on the flop, I'm not afraid to bet once (a decent sized bet, so I know for sure if I'm up against something), and check/fold the turn/river if my flop bet is called. Damn i need to get PT, can't believe I've been playing this long without it. Limping QJs in LP? That's a raise for me baby! (JK, not all the time)
