Nope, I would put him on a flush and come over the top just like you did. I suppose you could've been worried about 55 and just call his raise on the end, but that's just too weak-tight.

Everyone knows theres no getting away from this hand unless you had a dead on read that he was sitting on a bigger full. Its shorthanded and your hand is good here so often that its not even funny.

But ... play your 2 pair hands faster.
Raise more on the flop - make it at least $20-25 to go. If raised, it's likely a fold since the most likely holdings are 55/TT/33/T5/46s (some more likely than others).

As it played out I would have lost my stack too.

If you play long enough the roles in this hand will be reversed and you'll get your money back - be glad you didn't have a full stack.
