    Default 1st 2/4 hand

Ok let me start off by saying I normally play .25/.50 but I got bored and decided to try a little 2/4. It wasn't going ot kill my br and I wanted to take a shot. Anyway, it gets down to my last hand before bed and the following hand comes up. I don't normally play at this level so I didn't know what to expect, but here goes:

    Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    SB ($487.20)
    BB ($347.40)
    Hero ($622.70)
    MP ($258)
    CO ($508.40)
    Button ($50.20)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q, K. SB posts a blind of $2.
Hero calls $4, 2 folds, Button raises to $8, 1 fold, BB calls $4, Hero calls $4.

    Flop: ($26) 3, Q, 7 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $25, Button calls $42.20 (All-In), BB calls $42.20, Hero calls $17.20.

    Turn: ($152.60) 2 (3 players, 1 all-in)
BB checks, Hero bets $125, BB calls $297.20 (All-In), Hero calls $172.20.

    River: ($747) T (3 players, 2 all-in)

    Final Pot: $747

Thoughts and comments on all streets greatly appreciated. Results to follow.

Raise it up preflop, you're always raising KQ preflop in 6 max in my eyes.

    Flop play is good.

I'd try to get a turn and river for as cheap as possible, if he bets out huge on the turn if you check to him, a fold should be considered. I don't think you have the button beat here, but you're commited to call the all in on the flop. Just try to keep the pot low from there on.

    Wrong forum, by the way.

    Default are you sure

I looked at the forum list and it said this forum was where 2/4 nl went. Anyway, thank you for the comments. Anyone else?

I think this is a bad call. It looks like a basic slowplay. Flat call the allin raise in a multiway pot then checkraise the turn all in. I don't see you beating anything. What do you say spino1i?

As for preflop, be the one raising KQ or muck it. I can understand calling one more BB to see the flop 3 way, but its just hard telling where you stand now.

    25/50's f'in hard!
Well if your playing .25/.50 and 2/4 doesnt break the bank, then you shouldnt be playing .25/.50 because you are WAY overbankrolled for it lol. I'm not sure what your bankroll is, but if its above 3000$, move up to .5/1$! Now if your bankroll is under 3000$, I'd really advise steering clear of 2/4$, as the swings at this level are absolutely insane.

    Now onto the hand,

Pre-flop raise to 10$ or 12$ utg, KQo is a good hand in 6-max, good enough to raise with utg. Flop call his all-in, you are kind of committed. The turn play has me worried, you try to chase the other guy out of the hand as if he's on some sort of draw, which it looks like he wasn't, since he moved all-in on you. I dont think your hand is strong enough to move all-in with to try to chase draws out of the hand.

Check it down on the turn and river and if he bets big fold. He cant really bluff because theres still the other guy thats all-in who he has to showdown with if you fold.

I don't play these limts but when BB goes all-in on the 2d I gotta think he's got 2pr. I'd fold it. I also wouldn't have bet $125 on the turn. $75 would have worked for me.

Edit: someone recommends checking the turn, since the all-in is there to keep him honest. great advice.

Looks like a set of sevens or threes to me. Besides not raising preflop, you didn't make any glaring errors. I would probably bet less on the turn (around 1/2 pot size) so I can get away from the hand if he's slowplaying a set (which again, it appears he did). Once he moves AI on the turn, there's not much you're beating except maybe QJ or a strange bluff/semibluff, but it's 170 to call and 500+ in the pot, so a call is justifiable.
