Default Yes it's that time again - Simulposting my $30 R&A (LC)

    36th of 133 - average stack is 27k. I have 35k. Top 70 are ITM.
    I have a tight image.
I'm in MP and have raised 2 hands last orbit so I'm gonna cool my jets for this orbit unless I get a hand or just sniff something out.
We're basically only getting one orbit per blind level tho right now so....
    Deep breaths.
TT in CO..... small stack raises in front - I'm all-in to isolate .. got called by a tighty BB
    And out in 109.
    FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!
Small stack had TQ (nice) - tight big stack had KK. As soon as he called my all-in I knew I was toast (pretty sure he woulda folded AK in that situation). My 1 out did not come through. Played it fine tho - just frustrated (again).

How many times would you normally rebuy in this tourney? I find i spend too much in these 30 dollar R & A's.

$120 total is normal for me. I generally don't rebuy straight off but play very loose for the first half hour - if I lose fine then I rebuy twice (up to $90 now) and then add-on for another $20. If you were to rebuy straight off, I could see the general total being $150.

So then the question is, is this too much? Now that I am actually not being a complete retard when I play these, I'd say no. In the nightly $50,000 guaranteed $30 R&A it generally is paying the top 70 players (around 700 play every night) with 60-70 making ~$120, so just making the money gets your entry fees back. Basically the top 8 are all making very good money (over $1,000) and the winner takes between $12-15,000.

And there are a ton of players who don't know how to adjust after the rebuy hour is over and don't realize that even if you had played absolutely no hands the first hour and then rebought and added on to get your 5500 chips you still could sit on your chips for an hour before the blinds got up to 300/600 and forced you to play. So, I think making the money somewhere around 30% of the time is not farfetched and now it is just a matter of making the final table.

I've made this tourney my goal to conquer. Clearly I have not yet succeeded and maybe it will kill my bankroll. But I ain't giving up without a fight. I'll keep posting.

I think I've missed some sort of major thing here... what is a simulpost?

As a way to calm myself down, make myself actually think hands through, and maybe to try and get a cheering section to come watch me... I've been "simul-posting" when it gets close to the money time. I.e. posting my hands/decisions as they are happening. The extra seconds it takes to write my hands has calmed me down, and made me more focused. Late in a tourney, I tend to get very antsy and overly aggressive - this has just been an attempt to stop me from making retarded decisions (e.g. calling a 10xBB raise from big stack with AQ).

Mother god damn fricking fricker - 46th out of 682 tonight. After $120 in I made a whopping $50. Another frustrating stupid retarded ending. I patiently crept up from super shortstacked - I was 68th out of 80 up to 18th out of 50. And then just went retardo bernardo. Ended up calling, not pushing, but calling an all-in reraise when I had A6 with a flop of Q63 - 2 diamonds. The all-in had Q9. I sat there and thought how I should fold - still shortstacked, but one hand and I'm ok again, and somehow convinced my self that I had to call cuz of the flush draw, the lower kicker or the bluff possibility. God I'm retarded. What a waste of 4 hours.

Is there a computer program which does this?

I rebuy strt off and play tight. I usually put about 90 into 30 RA's. Just play tighter and you wont invest as much.
