It isnt neccesarily that he knows you have that two, its that you might.
With the pair on that board and just you calling from the sb he knows unless you caught a good hand hes getting no action.
Potentially that changes on the river when a good genuine hand appears, the set of 2s. But hes got that beat. Therefore he pushes all in for two reasons imo.
    1) It looks like hes trying to buy the pot (both of you checked it) by representing cards, the set of twos. He actually isnt but you might call suspecting a bluff if you had caught a decent hand.
2)He makes a genuine gamble that you have that two and will call his push. If you hadnt you may never have called, but you did.
I doubt it was a great read just a hope that you had that two which you unhappily did.
if this happens to you again it would be very unlucky and i would have called that all day and got busted.
I cannot see how you read that and i dont know how much of a fish play it is.

Nah its just lucky it hit. Someone raised AA preflop, I called with 66. Flop 3A3, we both checked, turn K, we both check, river 6, he goes all in. I called and his lucky checks paid off
