I don't think I've ever seen this many registered users online at the same time here.

Actually, that's for ALL users online, registered and unregistered guests.

I just meant actual registered users that I've personally seen online at the same time that I'm on.

But yeah. You're right. That record will be busted soon, I believe. This place really is taking off, thanks to you guys!

    It's much appreciated.

hopefully the guys we are training arent going to end up taking all our money. anyone else ever have these thoughts of when you teach somebody how to make money in a form like this that you are just making better competition for yourself.

The forum has picked up quite a bit. Last night I saw there were 18 people online. Right now it says there are only 3.

I do have those same worries but only to a certain degree. There are some people who play poorly and will continue to do so even if they read about what they are doing wrong. I'm talking about the type of player who "feels" that his 72 os will get the right flop so he continually goes against the math.

Is that right 106 users? Kinda eclipses the last noted of 18. Getting quite popular here now.

This is the best place for Hold'em. It is orginized very well and the users are all in it to both help and learn. I love poker and FTR.

    Seriously, man.

There's no way I can explain 106 users at the same time!

I'm an admin on another phpBB board that has 963 registered users and the most they've had online at once is 32. And those forums are BUSY! Here at FTR, we currently have 122 registered users.

    This is simply amazing.

I was talking to Eric, our web guru, about this.

Apparently, Google is really liking us. He explained that when Google's spider is crawling our site (including through these forums), the forum sees it as multiple views by multiple guests. This would explain the huge number of guests online at 5:28am on a Saturday morning when most of us are still asleep.

To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

my thoughts would be that ftr is now so popular because its so good, google aids its popularity, but people wouldnt hang around if it were shitty.

in answer to that year old post about whether its a good idea to teach people... reading this forum gives you the info required to win, but you still have to put in the hours to learn. Also, for everyone that comes on here and learns to win how many hundred (thousand) new fish are added to the bowl?
    villain goes AI
i call with a set (i have him owned)
    i win pot
villain: **** this, this site is bullshit, ******* rigged, suck out ****
