Seems you didn't really have a choice in either hand.
Hand #1: The pot was bigger than your stack, and you had every reason to think you're ahead, as the only hands that would play preflop and have you beat are AA, TT, and 99 (T9s maybe). Pretty good odds. If you had a much bigger stack, you might not want to push, but here you have to. What would you do if you checked and someone bet at it? If you bet $3 and got reraised? Fold? I wouldn't. With the pot that big already, a few lesser hands would call your bet, and if they fold, $9 ain't bad.
However, I might consider reraising preflop with two $3 bets on the table, maybe even pushing there.

Hand #2: Unless you have a read on peakmc as the grand high sheriff of Weaktightistan, you have to call here, too. Again, you have a small stack compared to the pot size. With pocket kings, your stack size, and a $1 bet on the table, the reraise is EXACTLY what you want to happen. They'll turn over queens, jacks, tens, Ax, or random junk way more often then aces.

Far as I can tell, you played fine.
Side note -- consider reloading or leaving when you're down that low at a table. Either the table has you beat (leave), you're on tilt (leave), or you've lost a couple hands to bad beats/inaccurate reads and it's only a matter of time before you hit a big one (reload). KK (or AA) can win you a lot of money, and it'll win you even more if you have a nice full stack.

    Both hands are played fine.

    POTD, thanks for the laugh.

also I agree, don't play short stacked. But while you are SS, I think you push hand 1.

If you dont lose your stack on both occasions i'd say you played it bad.
Oh you did :P then you played it gOOt imo
To be serious for a second, id make these plays too although im suspicious of the 1st hand, id let him lead out the betting here rather than pushing first and then id probably just push over the top anyway.
