What about the preflop play? Were you only going for nut flush?

I like the semi-bluff on the turn. If he folds, you win. If he calls, you know he probably doesn't have a made hand. If he reraises, you can decide to get out.

Rondavu has been trying to get the fold equity point across on here for a while. Throwing out a bet or semi-bluff when you are on a draw but you know they aren't strong will get folds often. If they just happen to call, you still have a chance to hit your draw and take more money. It's best to do this when drawing to the nuts of course.

    Nice play.

I like the idea of semi-bluff but he is being offered way too good pot odds, $4 to $18 pot, that is 3.5-1. Make him pay! I would've raised to at least $15.

I don't know about that. There is a very low chance he'll hit the flush. It's not worth it. I think he bet the right amount.

He has just as much of a chance of hitting his flush on the river as he would if he board would have been XhXcXhXs as if the board is XcXsXhXh, and that chance is about 4ish-to-1, so he's not getting perfect pot odds, but since he doesn't know that the A6h are out..he can make a good call based on implied odds (granted implied odds are crappy on flushes, but he might get something out of the undoubtably laggy playing Rippy on the river)

Too bad opp doesn't know he's drawing to 5 clean outs and therefor in all reality doesn't have odds though.
