Sets are what I make most money from, but I also loose quite a lot when I slowplay my sets sometimes. So I am wondering how others play them. (50NL FullTilt at the moment)

In what situations do you slowplay a flopped set? Position, reads, pre-flop action, what matters the most? And in what situations do you bet out with them?

Do you ever lay down to another set, or do you just pay them off? It happens very rarely but today I lost to a set of aces, I believe it is +EV to just pay them of though, cause people often go all in with top-pair and two pair where I play.
