Super-donk busted out and it's late night so the table is running a little weak/tight.

My opponent has a 20/4 split, although that's a big inflated because he will complete his SB with any 2. I've seen him limp big pairs and s00ted connectors UTGish before, so he could have a wide range here. Can get pretty aggro post-flop and we have a bit of a history.

have you seen him semi-bluffing as well? I like your raise here.

1) it does define your hand better than just calling. If he calls here I would be extremely careful on river and would probably just check if possible. His re-raise would make me fold here.

2) it protects your hand against any draws which he could have as well giving you lots of folding equity. he doesnt most likely have a 5 outer here but could he be able to fold an overpair against your possible 5 outer?
Also this might give you a cheaper SD.

Reraise here is somewhat standard play to me. Calling does seem like a pretty bad option in this case.

I like the play, I may have raised the flop, but he may think thats just a steal. I think the turn raise may carry more weight, I would suspect him to lay it down either here or check/call - check/fold the river unless he has a six.

I also would like to speculate a little. What would you have done on the turn if a J or Q would have come. Those are likely holdings to counterfeit your TP from EP limp/callers.
