So this is from my home game. $10 buy-in, i have about $20, my twin brother who is good has about $25. Ben Stone has about $20. I get AQs clubs on the button. the table is relatively lag. Twin who is a solid player raises 5x BB from UTG+1 (tables 8 handed), it's his standard raise. Stone calls in MP. I call on the button. The pot is now $3.30 (low stakes play, blinds .10, .20) The flop comes 10 8 3 two clubs. Twin bets $1, Stone calls. Me? I have no idea what to do here. Stone is very loose so he could easily have nothing here, probably just a draw, he'd almost have to raise here with a hand. But what can I make of the $1 bet? it doesn't make sense to me. I don't put him on AA because he limps it on our aggro table. I don't have any hand to put him on...

My question is what do you put him on and how do you play this?

Semi bluff raise for info. Make it 4$ to go and see how they play the turn.

I would need to know your twin's usual flop betting pattern. Does he bet 1/2, 3/4, or the full pot amount usually? Does he vary it? Does he bet less with TPTK or a monster? You have probably played with him long enough to know this.

With no reads, i.e. internet poker. I say he has a weak mid pair holding(99) and is trying to buy the pot cheap on a flop that most people calling a 5xBB raise would miss. I would re-raise to $5 destroying their drawing odds and putting them to the test.
If your twin is tricky and he knows you are aggressive, I would check behind thinking this is a feeler bet hoping to look weak and get a re-raise.

Do you think you will be able to get all the chips in if you just call and a spade hits the turn? I like to disguise the draw. It also opens up the door for you to steal the pot on a later street if you don't complete your flush, because you are taking control of the pot on the flop by raising.
