Painful. Folks love their up and down straight draws.

I think you went a little bit OTT though. I know you have to bet to deny him the drawing opportunity, but there's also an argument that you were on a weak hand and could have got away from it at a minimum loss.

Dont tilt away another buyin, dude. Take out some rage a different way! GL

Alls well that ends well: http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...ic.php?t=23739

I just put him on a weak pair or flush draw thought he'd fold in the end. I didn't want to check it, because then the weak pair would win.

I picked the wrong spot though. My read was the guy wasn't a good player, so when he called the turn I should have realised that he wasn't going to give up a weak pair to my river AI. As the busted flush/anything draw wouldn't call the AI there was no point doing it, so I should have just checked.

Another step in the learning process.

    Today went (something) like this:

    Omaha play, up $30.
    Omaha play, down $60
    Omaha tilt, down $30
.5/1 LHE play, up $10 (I play it to regain focus. Don't play for long as I get bored of it quickly)
    NL play, down $40
    NL play, up $120
    NL play, down $30.

So in the end I'm back even, with 1/4 more of the bonus cleared. Take away the tilt and I'm up. Given I wasn't running all that well (not getting any cards, bad beats) I think I'll be pleased with even for today.

In this ^^ other thread you posted a guy chases a gutshot twice, it doesn't hit both times and you make a load of money.

In the above thread a guy chases a OESD, it hits and you go nuts.

I think you need to do some thinking about where your money comes from in this game.

I didn't post this as a bad beat (otherwise I would put it in the other forum). It's not a bad beat. It's a misread and bad play on my behalf, posted for comments from other people

I just prefaced the post like that because I was annoyed at myself for (mis)playing the hand like I did.

p.s. The guy only chased one gutshot in the other thread. The hand first was him really misreading based on some prior LAgg plays I'd made, and the two after were him tilting away.

Good read on him that he didn't have a ten king eight nice pocket jacks pocket queens pocket aces or a hundred other hands that beat your sevens.

Check fold from the turn onwards.

Why are you hammering this river? Just check/call it.

I don't see what hand better than yours is folding to your all in and i really don't see what hand your extracting value from.

This guy clearly either had a draw(if it completed bad push, and if it didn't useless push).

or a real hand and he clearly likes his hand and he won't fold it.

Time to pull a Fnord... What better hand(s) do you think he will fold on the river to that bet? Looks like a no-win situation to me.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

You are what we call a "BIG DONATOR" Overplaying marginal hands against retarded opponents who will call with any pair. I ---->garuntee<----- you can find a better opportunity to put your money all in.
