Default Bankroll for 5 or6-max tables

I know teh standard BR req for full-tables is 300BB. What is it for 5 or 6-max tables?

    About the same. I took 500bb when i moved from 3/6 6max to 5/10 6max

Ok - I'll be (or at least try to be) patient then.

Depends on your winrate and standard deviation.

If your standard deviation is higher your BR requirements are higher.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

I have been horrible at keeping track of my winrate. My sample size right now is a whopping 565 hands

I am up about 43 BB in that span giving me a whopping 7.6 BB per 100 so no, I am not expecting that to last.

At this point I now have about 500 BB for 3/6 so I will just keep on trucking there and might consider moving back up to 5/10 again when I get to $4k.

You don't keep track of your winrate? You don't have PT?

Why is your sample only 565 hands?

Why are you considering moving up, given the two previous statements?

No I don't have PT. I have been concentrating on MTTs more than limit lately and before that I was just recording how much I was making but not how many hands I was playing. I am keeping better records now (which is why my sample is so small - that's all I have recorded).

I was considering moving back up because I have played lots and lots of 5/10 limit and did fine, but I also did this when I wasn't bankrolled for it, and am now trying to actually practice a decency of bankroll management so that when I top $3k (for what will now be my 4th time) I will never, ever look back again.

I know, I know - I keep saying I will and then don't. A big reason why is that I play a lot on Dise and my handhistories get sent to Hotmail which PokerTracker can't read or upload or whatever it is PT does.
