Only reason I use firefox is because of it's tab abilities. I usually have 1-5 tabs open and sometimes an IE window open if Firefox is being retarded with a lot of the media files.

dont' forget that you can middle-click a link or bookmark to open it in a new tab. Also, you can middle-click a tab to close it.

Bah... IE is more prone to security flaws and their support of web standards is piss poor. The reason some sites don't really work that well in Firefox is because people had to code sites for IE's bunged up handling of things - the web needs cross-browser standards. |

point of tab is obvious, able to run tons of different web pages with minimal memory usage and its convenient as hell. with ~20 tabs (what i usually run, 6 main web pages and a new one whenever the hell i feel like it) im only using 170mb of memory. running 20 different instances of a browser would be wayyyyy more than that. |
