Anyone play this differently? Small pot but it was for sale. The reason I bet the river is because I don't think I can win with a check.

I'd prolly raise the turn because of the min-raise on two flush-draws. If he'd call the turn and hit the river flush, he'd most obviously make a bet. At least a regular NL25 player would do, especially player like this, raising small his draw.

I usually bet the flop here. There is a good chance they will fold and if the turn comes a i want a free river card. I think I have a good chance of buying the pot and a good chance of winning with a heart A or J on the river.

As you played it, definatly bet that river. I think at least 80% of the time SB is either on a draw and wants a cheap card, or he is trying to buy the pot cheeply, or he has a weak hand like K5 which he is prepared to fold to a bigger bet. Occasionally he is slowplaying but you have to take a stab at the pot wih those potodds if none of the draws come.

Why is there a good chance they will fold? What do you know about their hands here? I'm not betting to *hope* they'll fold.

Bet the flop, its checked to you.
On the other hand though, checking allows you to pull off the move on later streets. Especially after a card hits that 25NL opponents expect has hit you, the Q. Anyone notice how its funny opps never believe you have the king on the flop?
