Anyone seeing any value in the first round? Im liking over 37 in the Washington game... their offense has been so hot lately and with brunell healthy i look for it took keep up. Also leaning towards playing Carolina...any thoughts boys?

I'm not sure about that... the atmosphere in Cincy will be absolutely insane... they have been dying for a playoff game now they get a home game... but i do think this game will be close... settled by a last minute drive

Oh you young nattikids. If there's one thing Bill Cohwer knows how to do, it's win the smaller playoff games and choke in the big ones.

    THE JAGS ARE +8? WTF?

I'm betting the Jags hard if I can get my money over fast enough.

There are three games that I plan on placing bets on. I think the Jags/Pats game is a no brainer. Even though Jags are my team (b/c of Matt Jones) I don't think they will win, but I don't see them losing by the spread. So I'll take the Jags +8.

The second bet I plan on taking is the Panthers/Giants game. I feel the Panthers will win the game so I'll take the Panthers +2.5.

And last game I plan on taking is the Redskins/Bucs game. I have a hutch that the Redskins will win this game so I'm taking the Redskins +2.5.

If anyone thinks my bets are completely boneheaded moves please let me know so I can change my mind before I place the bets.

The more i look at this weekends game two bets stand out... Over 37 in the Pats game and Carolina +3... I think carolina is actually a SU winner

BuddyLove: be careful on that skins bet. their secondary is pretty beat up. I know TB isnt a long throw team but that still scares me.

I like the Jags, they have only lost by 8 once this year.

I agree with Buddy Love's 3 picks, and 'rilla that the Steelers are a lock. But that is taking the road team in every match-up, which seems really sketchy to me.

I was just kidding around with the Steelers being the biggest lock in history.

That post should read, "God, I wish the Steelers were a lock."

Moneyline bets on Carolina and probably Cincy.

    Jags +8

Probably won't bet the skins this week.
You should never wave at people you don't know, cause what if they don't have a hand. They'll think you're cocky. "Look what I got motherfucker, this thing is useful, I'ma go pick somethin up."

They can get respect when they are good. Haven't they pretty much gotten their dick sucked the past 4 years?

    NE is 10-6
    Jax is 12-4

New England played in the AFC East, AKA 6 freebee wins.

For the record, Tedy Bruschi, I FUCKING WISH YOU WOULD HAVE DIED. YOU ARE NOT COMEBACK PLAYER OF THE YEAR unless you: A) Had a shitty last season, and B) Had a good seaon this year.

    You fucking had neither.

I dont see what everyone sees in this Jacksonville line?
First of all they played the easiest second half schedule.. only one game versus a winning team. And they didnt look that impressive against the loosing teams either. Secondly, Byron Leftwich is making is first start in about a month and a half. Pair that with the fact that he has never played a playoff game before. not soo good. Third, two of their best defensive starters are questionable for the game.

Yeah the pats may have had an easy schedule but you cant compare their regular season to now. They were completely killed by injuries after about week 2. Now everyone is getting back to healthy and they are looking the the team of old..

IF anything is the play in this game i take the Over

    Early looks for week 2.

Denver -2.5 (Denver is top probably in the top 4 hardest of places to go into and win along with Seattle, KC, and Indy)

Carolina +3 : my favorite bet of the week.. already bet on this.. probably going to take the money line on this too as Carolina will avenge their earlier loss to da Bears

I would love to see my redskins pull off a miracle... but i dont even know if they can cover this week.

    Any thoughts?

Being a Redskins fan, this is by no means objective .....

    - Redskins beat Seahawks in week 4
    - Redskins are on a roll and are battle hardened. They have been playing "win or bust" games every week since Dec4th
    - With the exception of the 1st Giants game all of the Redskins defeats have been by 7 points or less. Also, 2 of these defeats were crazy stupid losses (Bucs and Chargers)
    - Seahawks record does not impress me. Schedule was soooo... easy. Washington 5-1 in there division is much more impressive than 6-0 v's Rams, 49's and Cardinals.
    - Seahawks have not been pushed hard for more than a month. They may be healthy, but are they ready for battle ?

So there really is no reason not to put your entire bankroll on the Redskins at +9. In fact forget the spread take them to win at 3/1

This is excately what makes me the most nervous... it takes alot out of a team to continually play BIG game after BIG game. All these must win's take a toll on a team. While this is seattles first big game in a few weeks.

I dont know.. i think ill drop something small on my skins

Alot of people under estimate what that trip to the west coast and time change can do to an east coast team. Seattle is well rested and is one of the tougher places to play on the road. Also, I haven't really looked, but what's up with Portis?? He didn't play much the second half last week and it look like he aggrivated a stinger or something in his shoulder.

On another note, what are thoughts on the over/ under in the Bear s- Panthers game? I just don't see how those two are going to combine for more than 30 points. 17-10 would be a high scoring game there.

    Div. round:
i have my bets on all the favorites, except for Carolina +3. i'll probably parlay the Car ML with some combo of the above.

    Worked last time.

Carolina getting points is so sweet.
Under is too dicey for me though. 20-13 is totally reasonable here.
Da Bears defense is great for big plays, but they can be scored upon. GB, who doesn't doesn't have the offense of Carolina, put up 17 on Christmas day. They've been exposed on counters and quick drops, which the experienced coaching of Carolina will exploit. They also don't tackle especially well in the secondary.

This really dosnt have much of an effect for NFL... this is more true for basketball and baseball. NFL teams Arive a couple of days prior to the game... Its not like they are ariving the night before or the day of like NBA or MLB teams sometimes have to do. Plus its the early game being at 4:30 so its just like playing a night game at home.
