    25/50's f'in hard!

    Default A beautiful hand

I chase one villain out with the weak top pair by representing a monster and get the guy with the flush draw to call. All with my lowly pocket 5s.

    Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    CO ($25.55)
    Button ($109.40)
    SB ($83.07)
    BB ($85.12)
    UTG ($40.80)
    Hero ($185.97)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 5, 5. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
1 fold, Hero calls $1, CO calls $1, 2 folds, BB checks.

    Flop: ($3.50) 4, 6, 8 (3 players)
BB bets $2, Hero raises to $6, CO calls $6, BB folds.

    Turn: ($17.50) 9 (2 players)
    Hero checks, CO checks.

    River: ($17.50) A (2 players)
    Hero checks, CO checks.

    Final Pot: $17.50

This is something I like to do occasionally. Players betting out of the blinds generally have extremely weak hands that can't stand much pressure, so you can often raise them with anything, as long as they're capable of folding a pair.

This is why I pot it out of the blinds, reguardless of what I'm betting.

Who likes a river bluff here? I find a fair amount of 6 max players will pretty much auto-bet when checked to twice.

isn't that what we want when the draws miss?

Not necessarily when you are holding pocket 5's on a A high board..
