JJ, what's the play here?

Default JJ, what's the play here?

Been at the table a short while...villain has been limping and folding, basically whittling away $50 in about half an hour. Has not been playing much in general, despite hitting his boat on river once.

How would you play this hand out?

If he hasn't been raising much with anything, then all of a sudden becomes this aggro, he's probably got AA/KK. Do you think it's likely that he'd be betting a straight draw like this? If not, I think you can play for stacks here. I'd raise it to about 200-250. If he reraises, I think you have to push. Sets, especially top sets, are pretty tough to lay down..

Interesting hand. The highest I've played is 200NL so maybe take my advice with a grain of salt. I like raising the flop to $90 or so. I think this line makes it much easier to get the money in if villian does have AA/KK, and also disguises your hand better, as you could be on top pair, straight draw, or air. Then you can bet around $120-150 or so on the turn, or check behind and bomb the river. Smooth calling the flop and raising the turn usually indicates a big hand, and I think villian can get away from his AA/KK if you raise the turn, assuming you haven't been getting out of line.

I think he has AA, KK, AK. I would put him to the test all in. If he hit his trips, gg NH...

It's been said so many times, if you lose with trips and don't lose the max, you played them wrong...

Can anyone put him on QQ here? I didn't, having gone with a higher PP or AK. I punched it in, and yup, QQ is what it was. Not necessarily a bad beat because the money went in for him after he had me beat, but pretty unfortunate...
