    Default JJ no good?

No reads as I have recently sat down. I've been playing NLHE MTTs/SNGs recently so I almost instacalled this one... then i thought... What would most of you guys do in this spot?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    Button ($38.40)
    Hero ($99)
    BB ($26.90)
    UTG ($39.95)
    MP ($157.50)
    CO ($212.50)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J, J.
UTG calls $1, 1 fold, CO calls $1, 1 fold, Hero raises to $4.5, BB raises to $27.9, UTG folds, CO folds, Hero ...

He could have anything here, but without a read his likely hands are AK, AQ and AJ and AA-TT. Against TT you are way ahead, against AJ you are ahead, against AQ and AK you are sligtly ahead, against AA, KK and QQ you are way behind. I think I fold, but I think the decision is close - I might be wrong though.

With QQ I call, because I'm ahead enough times against shortstacks to make a call profitable.

Looks like the dead money in the pot makes this a call, even against the tightest range....

If I counted correctly, dead money = $2

I don't see 66+ doing this at the 6-max 25NL on Stars. Very similar situation wth me yesterday, but I had QQ. I instacalled and lost to KK. I still consider it correct but marginal, JJ I would consider even more marginal at the tables I am playing. I could easily believe it happens more at slightly higher limits, I think most of the people in my fish tank don't even know what dead money is...

These low buy-in guys love to wait for you to juice the pot and put you to the test with the all-in. To be honest I will coin-flip them all day long as I hate short-stacks and want them off the table so I can play deep money. I had a 30bb all-in the other day against my raise and I called with 88 to see him flip 55. Was maybe a little crazy there but I like my bets respected and Im not folding Jacks here. Call.
