first off I would have raised at least 3xbb pre flop. His post flop raise seems to scream a set of sixes i think or at least 2 pair. His bet on the turn is the same as his last bet, I think this would be a good lay down here.

when I am UTG I usually play the JJ for set and just call.

Since there where only two others in the pot, I had to assume my Jack were good postflop

    JJ utg is horrible.
Especially if you know opps are loose enough to call with any crap behind.
    So limping isnt bad.
    betting the flop is fine.
    calling is good.
    call the turn
    see how the river plays.

I ont think you are bad too much here. Ask yourself if a six plays it so fast.

He wasn't playing it so fast, was he? He was continually making little bets of less than half the pot.

    I actually folded here.

It was this little value bet that looked so fishy to me.

Besides I think fast would be the way to play this pot don't you (if you had a 6)? I rarely slowplay trips, unless of course two of them are in my hand.

I think the break down of what he could have would be:

A6s 30% Prob. the most consistent with his play.
33 10% He played too fast for this.
    x3 10% I wouldn't be surprised...
overpair less than JJ 30% Pretty consistent with his play.
over pair more than JJ 10% Tricky since he didn't raise PF.
    bluff 10% Equally doubtful.

Yeah I suppose I shoulda called this down.

I know it's not the easiest hand to play out of position in a raised pot, but I still think open-limping JJ is horrible. Make it $1 to go and bet that flop...

Either: he thinks he is ahead but hes scared of the K. (i.e. lower PP or something).
Or: He knows he is ahead but thinks you are scared of the K.

Either way I think you can expect a cheap showdown. I call and expect to win a fair % of the time.

At low limits I actually like the preflop. The turn is tricky, calling down and folding are both ok. Depends on how gambol you feel really.

I would vote for the raise preflop.

I would raise here probally about 80% of the time and limp in the rest to mix up my play.

When you limp in you are looking to hit a set or a low uncoordinated flop.

If he has a lower PP than your PP you are way ahead here - if this is what you think then let him bet and just call to the end.

If he has the 6 - well this is going to be expensive to find out - and since you only limped in preflop to hit a set just fold it on the flop.

I fold here but I probably wouldn't be in this situation to begin with because I usually raise pre-flop with JJ.

Since everyone limped in pre-flop, it is easier for me to put someone on a 6.

yea I always raise JJ preflop too

call down or fold, not much difference.

raising or calling preflop with jj doesn't really matter either. for every situation like this you create by just calling you make another different one by raising.
