Another KK hand, NL 25 6-max

Opp is a semi-loose donk, the type who takes toppair hands too far (in the passive way by calling down). I had seen him call an allin on the flop with TPTK before (he was close to folding though).

I lead the flop for 2/3 pot, and when I get minreraised I'm getting a little suspicious, but his minraise could very well just mean toppair (a lot of fish minreraise the flop with toppair). I reraise him hoping for a call from a J and I will fold if he comes over the top of me (note: I should probably reraise a little more).
He calls, and I think there's a good chance he has the J and not a weird twopair or a set. I dont want to bet because (1) I might still be up against twopair/set, and (2) a weak J might fold the turn with that much strength shown by me - so I check to induce a bet from him. He checks behind, and I'm pretty sure I have the best hand by now. Also the 2nd 2 falls on the river, a card that might counterfeit a possible weird twopair hand. I think I have the best on the river more than 70-80% of the time here and I make a ½pot valuebet.

Hows my thinking on each street?

At best opp minraises my river bet, and then I have call $10 to win a pot of $49 - I'm getting good odds on a call, but given the action, I dont think opp will raise me with a hand I beat, and a bluff is also unlikely because of the strenght I've projected earlier in the hand. I *might* call a minraise because of the good odds (1:5) I'm getting on my call and because of the donk factor in these games, but against a bigger raise I fold.

i bet the turn, he really cant be slowplaying with the two spades out there.

the fact that he is a semiloose donk means you should be able to win a 400bb pot here!

definately raise more on the flop when he reraises you, and i probably bet the turn in case he has the flush draw cause a lot of fish min raise with a draw on the flop. The way you played it isnt horrble though good river bet.

Every community card (except for 2) makes an overpair weaker and weaker. I think your worst play of the hand was giving your op a free river card, but your flop play was arguably just as bad.

I'm reraising the flop here in most situations (minus if my op is a tight passive who would only reraise with two pair +). If your op is a donk, you need to make the decision right here if he's flopped two pair or if he would call a 3bet or 4bet with top pair. It really comes down to knowing your op. Most likely if you 3bet, op will call if a donk and not just testing your cont bet. Then, with a hopefully harmless turn, I'm getting as much money into the pot as I can. If Op reraises your 3bet, you need to end the betting right here. Either push or fold depending on where you think you stand. Extracting value is important, but all you have is an overpair. There are so many ways that the turn and river can destroy your hand. Get your money in quick or get out.

The only thing I can say for sure I would have done different, is a 1/2 to Full Turn bet. Because my initial thought is he was on a flush draw. I don't like letting people get more free cards so they can spike their strange 2 pair.

Let me think like a donk (which I still do too much) and say this:

Hes got his Jack, and some Spade card. Your turn check and then big bet on the river makes him think your stealing and repping the flush so he calls, because he always thinks people are bluffing him too much, and you win.

I bet this turn.I've seen too many people min raising flush draws on Party to induce a check on the turn.

The river, I reevaulate the hand and will go with a bet or check/call line. [depends on whether a spade hits]

Why? I don't like giving free cards when there is a flush draw out there... He's in the BB so could really have anything at this point. Only cost him .75 more to call AND he had position on you.

I do not think he has pocket pair that hit a set [why would he check the turn]

Reraise the flop harder. 3/4 pot the turn. If he's still around then 1/3-1/2 pot river (blocking/value bet). Sometimes I check/call, but he could play off your weakness.

At a minimum, bet the turn. There's a paltry chance he improved on the turn (34s?).
