If he calls, and you're ahead, then your play was optimal.

Obviously.. the question is, am I ahead when he calls (I would think so), and is he calling with an inferior hand?

Most people don't raise out of the blinds with 57, 44 or 66 so you're usually good here.

Well that's all down to reads isn't it. If you had seen him overplay his draws then it's a good push. If he has an overpair, especially AA - TT, then it's likely he'll call regardless.

On that type of flop, the villian is probably missing. I'm waiting for the turn to do this action so he can somewhat catch up... or at least give him one card to catch up.... unless my read was he had KK or AA and would call a push.

Once again, its read dependent... with a read with him as a tightie, I push flop. With the opp being someone who likes to raise a lot with optimal/non optimal hands, I let them catch up before the push
Dealer: bencathers has two pair, Aces and Deuces
Dealer: Tbags has two pair, Kings and Jacks
Dealer: Tbags finished the tournament in 256th place
Tbags [observer]: another scumbag gets there on this site lol
