I think you should play this a bit more agressively. I think I lead this flop for pottie so I can put in a big 3-bet if I'm raised... if a lot of money goes in the pot in this situation you want to be the one putting it in agressively.

Definately +EV. I would have played it more aggeressively like Luke suggested.

I don't generally to take the lead postflop, unless I had the lead preflop. Also most ways that this flop can be connected with aren't folding to a lead-out bet. So I figured, if I led out, I am only getting called by a pat hand and am behind, so I prefered to make it as cheap as possible for myself while there isn't much money in the pot to win.

The result was the other guy in the sidepot (of course) had the nut straight, and blanks fell on the turn and river, so he won the pot.

It didn't turn out to be a +EV play after all since I was 60/40 to lose to the nut straight guy. I would need to be at least 50 percent to win for it to be +EV in this specific case.

+EV all day? I think 9 out of ten times you're facing a set here or A2s, and A2s you have 7 outs to split and 9 outs on the flush, so 13.5 outs, unless he has the spade draw as well, and vs trips you have OESFD 17 outs for the win.

I think this is an easy fold the second time around without the nut flush draw.

Not to hijack, as it's related, but I have trouble getting the money in in these situations. Pot it and you don't get raised, just called. You miss the turn, then what?

If you check-raise your turn odds will stink again if you miss...

I've tried different lines, and can't find one I like with a missed turn. I want it all in on the flop, but that's hard to do without being up against a made straight or a set.

If I'm paying attention here I think it's definitely a fold based on the button's actions. If I'm playing too many tables I might play the same though.
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.
