    Default Headsup Sngs

I started to play headsup sngs alot lately.. wanted a change
Whats type of ROI should I expect ? ... Thus far I've gotten 1st about 75% of the time out of 60 sngs... figured I'd ask whether its maintainable or not

I used to play them alot too,

always ran into a down swing and got bored with them.

The 4xs are good too as the pay out is higher.

for a change of pace you might try the heads up tourneys on Stars $20 buy.

I think at 2pm and 9 pm. EST. Usually by 3rd opp. your ITM ( think so anyway).

    Good Luck.
Why is it a penny for your thoughts but
you have to put your 2 cents in??

    Somebody's making a penny!!

These are my main game on stars; however, I only have a little over 150 under my belt. From what I have read, a 75% ITM in a HU SNG is not possible to maintain.

From one of the best heads up playeds:

At limit holdem it all depends on your opponent. HU limit holdem is relatively straightforward. If your opponent sucks, you can win 65-70% of the time, but it takes forever. If your opponent doesn't suck, it doesn't matter how good you are you won't win 60% of the time.

The most efficient winning style of NLHE play at the $22 level will win 56-60% of the time with an average match length of 7-11 minute
He has played everything from the $5s to the $5000s and I would trust his word on this matter. Another thing though, ROI isnt all that important unless you are playing at the highest level buy-ins, what matters more is $/hr. It does depend on who you ask though, some say 70% is attainable at the lowest stakes, but when you move up, anything over 60% is VERY good.

So yea, these are a good way to make money, if you know what you are doing and dont expect too much out of them.

Deepstack HU SNGs should have less variance than most, if not all, other types of games. You start off with 75BB and have a lot to work with really, so I would think the variance would be less with these, correct me if Im wrong though.

This is a good thread over at 2+2 on the matter:

Its a little [read: VERY] math heavy, and there isnt a real decisive conclusion from it. However, it seems like they say that the single table HU matches are the most profitable because of turnover and also there would be lower variance associated with them

I don't see how someone can have 60% ITM and 60% ROI? or even remotely close to that

im tired.. maybe im doing the math wrong

The math really messed with me on calculating ROI for these too, I just plugged it into a spreadsheet though and a 60% ITM gives you a 14.3% ROI

you probably did the same thing as me and did something like

    100 sngs
    60 itm
    40 otm

    10.5 buyin
(60*20)-(40*10.5)=profit.. then used that to calc the ROI was is totally wrong lol

    it should be (60*20)-(100*10.5)=profit
then the number comes out to $150, which is +$1.50/game.
    +$1.50/$10.50 = +14.2%
