Default AQ in heads up sitNgo

I am wondering on your guys' thoughts about AQ in a heads up sitNgo against an opponent who is showing aggression preflop in that hand.

We each had about 1000 chips and the blinds were 25/50 and I had AQ in the SB and raised to 150, he reraised to 400.

I could put him on maybe 99 - AA or AJ, AQ, AK.

I don't think I can call, I must either fold or move all-in, however, if I move all-in, I am almost guaranteed a coin-flip (where I am actually slightly behind)
This coinflip would be -EV since I'd be behind, and because of the rake of the tournament. If I pushed often enough here, to me it would appear to be a leak

but if I fold, I am saying that I won't make a stand with AQ, and against someone who will reraise 99-AA, AJ, AQ, and AK preflop, I don't think I can wait for better than AQ, so this also seems like a -EV spot. Plus if I fold here, I won't be able to steal his BB as often, even with solid hands, fearing the reraise

Was it folded to you in the SB? If it was just a BoB then you are putting the BB on waaaay too tight a range. Im not great in handling these situations, but I think a stop n' go would be a good play here depending on your reads on the BB. Basically, anything you do here is very read dependent. If they are an aggressive player who will defend their blinds, I will push or stop n go. If they are tight and have shown the tendency to fold their blinds to aggression, I will fold here. It all comes down to your read

It was heads up, 1v1, so winner take all.

He ended up having 10 10, and I hit a Q, but even if I knew he had 10 10, I don't think going allin is the right move, I don't think folding is the right move, and I don't think calling is right, I just didn't know what to do

AQ is a monster heads up.

But surely you must agree that getting all of your chips in preflop on a 50/50 shot is -EV, and also AQ vs any pair is less than 50/50

A lot of people overvalue weak aces preflop, you could have him dominated. Also a lot of people overplay hands like KQ - KT heads up.

    What level is this at?

It was a $50 heads up sitNgo

but he seemed pretty timid, so when he reraised I figured him for something decent

I am starting to think fold because I might be able to get it back by taking a few blinds, but after all, as you said, AQ is a monster heads up

I want to have a strategy that does not require me to get lucky to win, and playing AQ for all the chips against a most likely even money shot, just doesn't seem right

Your range is unbelievably narrow for a HU SNG. You would need to provide more details. How long had you been playing at the 25/50 level? What was your image? What really is his image? What image does he think you have of him? Is he changing gears?

If you can put him on that narrow of a range, then he should be unbelievably easy to beat on average.
