Default do table stats matter? TTP 6max 25NL...

This was a 6max 25NL table with a $16 average pot, 3rd hand dealt so no reads, and I was thinking either the big stack is a maniac, or he just busted a maniac several times. is it bad to make assumptions like this based on out of line table stats?

Also is it better to 3 bet on the flop and consider folding if he pushes or what?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    saw flop|saw showdown

    MP ($52.55)
    CO ($15.20)
    Hero ($24.65)
    SB ($16.15)
    BB ($112.95)
    UTG ($23.25)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J, A.
2 folds, CO calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1, SB calls $0.90, BB calls $0.75, CO calls $0.75.

    Flop: ($4) A, J, 3 (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, CO checks, Hero bets $2, SB folds, BB raises to $6.25, CO folds, Hero calls $4.25 (thought of 3 bet but it was a fairly safe board...and this way he might think I'm afraid of the A...

    Turn: ($16.50) 9 (2 players)
    BB bets $17.75, Hero calls $17.40 (All-In).

    River: ($51.65) Q (2 players, 1 all-in)

    Final Pot: $51.65

I guess my main question is if you ever change how you play without real reads but based purely on stats of the table like avg. pot size and players seeing flop?

You can probably guess- he ended up showing 333. I probably wouldn't have folded even if I 3bet the flop and he still pushed, partly because the table stats...is that a leak?

Also I kind of like his play since if he does this overbet push on the turn it's possible more hands call than if he does another check raise or leads the turn. Normally I do the typical call, check/raise line with sets, but think I'll try that once in a while.

i raise larger at tables w/ high flop % and play a tad tighter. as for the hand it looks pretty standard. could have a set but not enough info to lay down top 2 w/ no straights or flushes possible.

I dont think you can really judge an individual player based on the stats of the table, nor would I suggest that you try to. With no reads, I would find this tough to lay down on the turn, could be a leak in my game, but Im not sure.

I'd bet the flop stronger, but other then that, this hand looks good. I don't see why folding is even being discussed here.
