    Default 99 overpair

villain is kinda bad and has been raising some shit from the button. should I lead here, he might re-raise me with any two then. What about CR'ing and then shutting down on unimproved turn? calling seems a bad option but shouldnt be shut out totally?

    being out of position sucks
I am inclined to shut down on this turn, although I will call a reasonable bet with 6 outs minimum. It just doesn't look like he has a club draw to me.

I don't like the check/raise on the flop, because it builds too much of a pot. Is leading much better? Not really.

I think check/call might be your best line on the flop.

Check-call the flop and leading the turn is a fine line. Check-raising is pretty bad here because now the pot is huge with hand that is either way behind or barely ahead, as played I check and hope he checks behind and try to get a cheap showdown.

I think this is a great reason to 3-bet preflop. Since you opted to call, I would probably lead for 3/4 pot and re-evaluate. I don't really like check/calling, because half the deck is bad for you, and your hand really can't stand much heat. Same with cr'ing, since if he doesn't fold, you now have a huge pot, and are first to act on the turn with a very marginal hand. As played, I think it really depends on reads/instinct here whether or not to push the turn or check/fold.

Why not? It doesn't matter what position you are in if you hit your set. Plus, he mentioned this guy was raising junk so 99 may be the best hand preflop.
