    Default Sometimes ya just gotta...

Villain had pushed me (Hero) off a couple of TPTK hands previously so I decided to take a stand. What's your opinion of Villain's play?

If you mean what do I put him on he prob has 2 pair/set/AXc... pretty wide range. After he makes the reraise he is pretty much having to call any hand that beats AK.

Your play seems fine. I would need results to evaluate his.

This hand is presented from Villain's point of view. The result was he didn't draw out and I stacked him with TPTK.

HAHAHAH sry i was drunk when i made 1st post ( and still am )

Interesting post bcuz u mention he had pushed u off several hands. I don't think this play by him is ever terrible (if only because he'll get paid off by your tptk later on since u r aware) but in this case he may have been more wise to play passively since his k was likely dominated leaving him w 9 outs (highly likely when u push) and his pushing u around makes a "stand" by you more likely.

When i am pushing somebody repeatedly I am often amazed how little fold equity i am left with after a few hands. pushing draws becomes almost futile.

btw what do you think about calling his rerase and commiting to a safe turn from your point of view?
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

I pushed because I felt he was trying to push me off again. If he was drawing (which he was), I was better to push back and put him to a hard decision about chasing it. Not sure I could have called the push in villain's shoes, but his flop raise kinda commits him, doesn't it? That's what I'm questioning.

I think villain needs to beat ak for this to be a clear call

    w ak i think it's marginal

so i guess that means i lean 2wards fold, although he now has to call getting 2-1 on his flush.

tough hand for him. yay nl is fun for doing that

Villain's play is extremely standard other than preflop.

Even laggs don't limpcall with that shite.

don't think ak is clear fold cuz so many big draws on this board.

Warpe before you make a play like this make sure you are up against a bad lagg and not a good one. Against a good lagg you will never be ahead if you get called. Your push gives a good lagg a chance to play the hand without making additional mistakes. And this lagg made no mistake in getting all in on this flop.

Oftentimes its better to just call, and push a blank turn where even against the biggest of draws you will have the best of it. I am not sure if that would've been the best play here or not. I'd like this push a lot better if you had paired your ace instead of your king.
