    Default Hands from today

    Hand 1:
    Frickin' underpairs.
Villain is 25%/8%/2.75 over 75 hands. The 1/3 pot bets seem suspicious to me. Just fold the flop? Or raise and fold to a 3 bet? AJ/KJ/QJ/set-- I've gotta be beat here.

If the river doesn't pair the board or isn't a K/Q/T is it worth a raise? I went for the cheap showdown here. Am I underbetting any street?

    1. Position. I like to raise here, it depends to me if you think opps weak lead is the jack or a weaker hand than urs. Most often i find the donks bet here becasue they dont think you have anything so raise. On later streets look to showdown cheap.

    4. Need to raise here somewhere. Posibilities are AJ/AT/JT/KQ all limp/call raise. Id raise flop and if it escalates im folding. Bigger edges to find. I think calling down is horrid.

    6. I bet 4.5 or 5 rather than 6 here. I think id bet the river too

He had Ad2d. I've had QQ/KK cracked with regularity in situations like this. 25NL party players seem to love suited aces. I see your point, but my "rasing to know where I stand" type bets end up getting me in too deep. If he flat calls or reraises the flop or turn, I wouldn't know what to do. Does he have the straight already or is he a flush draw re-raiser? I was calling down hoping for a Q to fall. His bets were just a hair smaller than ones I would have made myself had he checked to me, so I elected for as cheap a showdown as possible.

Why bet the river? I only get called if I'm beat here-- KhT, AQ, AJ, QhJ-- and I know some of you guys here would check-reraise strong on a Khx busted flush draw.

Hand 1 - I'd raise or fold the flop. You won't be happy about the turn card most likely. I wouldn't want to let him hit an overcard for cheap.

    Hand 2 - Looks good.

    Hand 3 - Looks good.

Hand 4 - This is close on the turn I think. If he bet more I'd just call. I don't want him to get a cheap look at the river though with this board. I'd probably raise him.

Hand 5 - I don't like the minraise pre-flop here. Flop is good.

Hand 6 - I might bet a bit more on the flop. I think the rest is good.

    Default Re: Hands from today

Hand 1: Against a typical 20NL'er you are ahead here. This sort of bet means he has like AK/AQ/KQ/77/66/55 etc and is basically "please fold?". The more thinking 20NL'ers use these lowish bets to make you tag along. Without a read to tell me otherwise, I'm thinking I'm ahead here. (ofcourse the fact that he leads after a call *is* kinda weird.. it could very well like you say be uncertainty in his TP)

Hand 2: Might be doing this with a draw (gutshot and/or flush) but most likely you are beat so yes, fold. Only thing, I'd bet a bit more than half pot here. $2.4 or so.

Hand 3: Hm the river, always hard with an overstraight risk. I'd consider a c/r on the river, but not sure if that's +EV.

    Hand 4: Looks good

Hand 5: Not much you beat here I think. Possibly lead out (c-bet) but meh, the pot is already too big for such a sucky flop, so I'd say good fold.

Hand 6: I probably bet more on the flop, like $4, because with so many people around I don't want everyone with a heart to tag along and draw on me and possibly hit something here and there. But you got one caller so that looks ok. Turn and river seem fine to me.
