Yup, $35-40 range at least preflop, then you just get it all-in on the flop no matter what hits.

Hand was fine as played. I'm not suprised to see my stack pushed over to a set though. You can always just push before the flop and be happy with the $17 they put in and see if they like to Gambool when they're behind.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

I think the preflop raise was fine. Raising more is good too, I'd call it personal preference. Regardless, then you call and pray it's a draw you are facing and not a made hand, and that it misses.

I mean, he has odds to push on any straight or flush draw here, as his stack is below the pot, and you have odds to call, as any draw leaves you at 50%+ to win. It'd have been so much nicer if one of your aces had been the diamond though

The reason you raise higher is because two other people - one that raised Hero and the other who called that raise. In general I like to 2.5-3x pot any raise or reraise preflop when holding AA/KK etc. Even heads up if somebody bets and you hold AA, don't just double their raise.

Yeah but look at the stacks. Even at $30, the pot will be bigger than all stacks left. You are pushing on the flop, and so might your opponents on *anything*. And you go in with AA, the huge favorite. $30 is already a pressure point, they're gonna be pushing anyway unless the flop is horrible for them. So all I really see from raising $45 or something is that I'll get less callers who I want in on the pot..

If you look at the raw facts.. our opponents likely have hands I have dominated like lower pp or Ax. In the case of AA vs QQ vs AK, I'm the 76% favorite to go in. If a marginal hand tags along, it's not as good for you ofcourse, say AA vs QQ vs 56s, I'm the 60% favorite. To compare, AA vs QQ vs JJ I'm 66%.

That is why I say personal preference. If the stacks were a lot bigger, then it'd be stupid to only double the pot.. but now that doubling the pot is already a pressure point (semi-pot commit your opponents) then I think it's personal preference. Basically you make the choice
    - do I want more people in for a somewhat lesser chance to win, but more money gained as I am the big favorite already?
    - do I want the price them hard and possibly fold them all out?

    What do you think?..

I would have reraised this bigger since there is a COLD caller [which is usually a pocket pair]. The pot at this point is ~22 so I think that 30 is a pretty weak reraise.

I would have reraised this to: $55-60 and then shove it if only ONE player called this preflop.
It's hard to shove this without the dimond if TWO people called this preflop

Ehm, look at stack sizes.. if two people call your $55-$60 reraise then you're gonna fold $30 on a $180 pot? Eh, that's better odds than the chance that another diamond shows up..

I don't worry about stack sizes in this cicrumstance b/c I'm happy raking in my $22 pot.
    I'm not greedy

I KNOW that preflop I'm ahead so I'm raising and putting my $ now. If a hand like TT or 66 wants to call preflop they're gonna have to think about it some more.
