    Default Overplayed set?

Bodog 50NL. Hero is in HJ with . UTG raises to $1.50, Hero calls, Button calls, BB calls. Pot=$6.25

Flop :Ts: BB bets $2, UTG raises to $6, Hero raises t0 $12. Everyone folds.

I have been training myself to not underbet strong hands. Is this a case where calling the flop bet might have been preferable?

I might call on this board and try to get another bet out of him on the turn before I raise...looks like you're drawing to QJ, p'haps. Still, I've been stacked enough times slowplaying sets that I don't have a problem with your line here either. No guarantee that villain will bet the turn if you smoothcall, if he has half a clue. Bet your set, right? It's fine.

In a 3 way pot I dont hate an overcall here trying to get more money in 78 and QJ can draw to a straight, but thats pretty unlikely given the preflop action.

Id probably call and then try to get more in on the turn, if you are reraising that flop then Id make it a little more.

let them take a card off. You know which cards are going to hurt you and your minraise announces that you have a set. Why make a bet that tells them exactly what you have? Also, even if they make their straight on the turn you have good redraws on the river depending on how much the villian bets.

I agree with most of your assessment but it actually wasn't a minraise--raising to $10 would've been a minraise.
