    Default Freddy Deeb chat request

Hey guys, since I probably won't be able to attend the chat due to work and timezone issues I was wondering if someone could ask him a question I have been thinking about since rewatching season 1 WPT.

"Has his opinion of Gus Hansen changed since the comments he made after being knocked out of the first WPT event"

I'm not particularly a fan of Gus Hansen's style but I do think he has shown that he isn't just a "lucky" player and it would be interesting to know if Freddy has changed his opinion or still stands by it.

I don't know exactly what you're talking about, so the question needs some clarification to me. Who made the comments, Gus or Freddy? Who got knocked out?

Maybe I'm just stupid and I'm the only one who doesn't understand this question Anyhow, clarify for me and I'll get someone to ask it for you.

I'll check the exact quote when I get home but essentially Gus knocked Freddy out of the first WPT event in season 1 with like 96s and flopped a monster.

At the post-match interview Freddy said something like "If he plays that badly all the time let me play him every day" (though that's nowhere near his actual words, will edit tonight )

Slight bumpage, cause just watching the event again now.

Was the 5 Diamonds at Belagio, down to 3 handed with Gus, Freddy and John Juanda.

Blinds are 15/30k, Gus on the button with QTo raises to 90k, Freddy reraises all-in for $340k with AKo

Gus calls the $250k (stack at this time around $1.5m), flop comes AQQ, turn is J, river is 2.

Freddy's comments to Shanna at interview were "He played very badly, the player that beat me in that last pot, in my opinion> I would like to play this game with him every day, for the rest of my life, if he plays like that. He could never beat me in the long-run"

Just would be interesting to see if his opinion towards Gus and his style of play has changed over time and if his comments were just the result of steaming from being out-drawn, or if he still thinks that way and has had success in the long-run against Gus since.

This is funny. I was already going to ask him the AK Gus Hansen question before I read this thread. Don't worry, we'll see if he still feels the same way about Gus...

I'm sure he respects Gus, was probably just a "heat of the moment" comment. You can get pretty rilled up taking a loss at a FT, esspecially at the WPT.

Yeah, he was pretty agitated during the interview and figure it was a heat of the moment thing too honestly but still...

meh, 450k in the pot, 250k to call for gus. He surely has pot odds to call against freddy's range here, assuming this game is playing very agressively.
