Default Rivered nut straight on paired board.

Villian is 37/10, and based on what I've seen and some of his comments, I don't think he's very good. He has been running hot and I doubled him up earlier when I b/3-b AI with AA on a 358 monotone flop. He had 33 and I lost. On the river it's about $430 for me to call. Keep in mind that this is 3-handed.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (3 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($562.95)
    SB ($1066)
    BB ($160.15)

Preflop: Hero is Button with K, Q.
Hero raises to $16, SB calls $14, 1 fold.

    Flop: ($36) 4, J, 9 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $24, SB raises to $56, Hero calls $32.

    Turn: ($148) J (2 players)
SB bets $56, Hero calls $56.

    River: ($260) T (2 players)
    SB bets $938 (All-In), Hero ?

To me this really looks like he has a monster. My guess would be J9/99. It's so tempting to call that it's probably bad.. I haven't really seen people play bluffs like this too often..

a little town called none of your goddamn business
Any reason why you called the flop? I doubt you're taking this pot away if you don't hit.

implied odds and position. But I agree with renton, I think I fold the flop too.

I'd fold the flop against a poor player.

On the river, it's highly unlikely that even a weaker player is doing this with just trip J's. And with the strength he showed on the flop, it's even likelier you're looking at a full house. I would just fold.

Deep stacks, bad opponent, draw to the nuts, backdoor draw to the effective nuts, and overcard value (which may or may not be good), and metagame purposes make this a good call IMO.

Truthfully, I think this river is a call. Your line doesn't exactly scream strength, and this is a bad player in a 3-handed game. Plus, in his mind, the ten doesn't really complete any draws. I call.

Why are we b3bai'ing with AA on a 358r board ?

    send me the HH sometime.

Well, I guess if you factor in that K's and Q's are very often legitimate outs, I think calling a virtual minraise is probably not bad.

Can you explain why his line looks like a boat and not just trips?

I agree. I was running so terribly and at the time it felt like anything I'd do would be a disaster. If I call, surely he'll show 44/J9 and I lose another big pot. So I timed out and folded. But looking back I think it's v close, but leaning toward a call.

Because it's a huge overbet. Even poorer players rarely make these bets on paired boards without full houses. Plus, the size of the bet gives you incredibly bad odds.
