I was a little scared when I got two callers on this board (no draws), and that maybe overpair wasn't good. I decided to go for a c/c or c/r on the turn depending on what they'd do. Shmack111 bet really big, so I figured he either had a J or was bluffing me, so I wasn't about to lay down. There was no way I could call this river against an unknown. What do you do?

Villain is unknown. I know at face value this looks like a pretty dumb call here but here were my thoughts:
1. Why on earth would someone bet so hard with such a great hand like 99/JJ/Ax. They'd want to value bet and get as much value out of a 9 or a J as possible.
2. A bad lag with a combo draw like Th8h/JhXh is capable of making this play.
3. I have seen people run bad bluffs here with missed pocket pairs.
4. Someone wouldn't limp AJ+ UTG more often than not.
4. Even IF he has the case Ace, chances are its not a nine kicker or higher.
Basically I was looking at a percentage of the time he was bluffing, a percentage of the time where he had a flush draw, a percentage of the time where we were splitting with only our aces playing, and finally a percentage of the time he has a boat or a big ace. I figured to be good against his range.
