    You so got owned.

Turn is an easy check behind.

if you read him for a draw and that's why you raised the flop, which i wouldn't do without a read because of the ace ("only better hands will call" logic), make it so he has bad pot odds to call, like $3 minimum. your post flop line will win the min and lose the max. my line (not sure this is optimal, but i wouldn't want to play a big pot here) would be call flop, check behind turn, check behind or call a river bet up to around 1/2-2/3 pot.

as soon as he called your re-raise on the flop, you should put on your breaks. Especially so after that scary turn card. Flop is not that bad, nice raise to find out where you're at. (might have made it a little more) Just think to yourself, what kind of hand would he have to call my reraise with? If it's an ace, you're beat, if it's a flush draw you're beat. Check behind on the turn... Maybe call a bet on the river, maybe not.
Lack of Discipline and Over-Confidence... The root of all poker evil.

Haven't read the results yet, but you have to check behind the turn. What hands put out weak pre-flop raises then call a big reraise? TT+ AQ+? (figure KK/AA would reraise).

I like the strong flop raise, but you have to check behind on the turn and go for a cheap show down. On the turn the only hand you are possibly ahead of is JJ (not counting a bluff), I'd expect the villian to flip up two pair at a minimum.

I'm not used to reading that raising small (especially the min) is ok on this site . Still, I was thinking that villain is faced with calling 1.2 for 4.5 which is ok odds to call on a flush draw. The biggest reason I see to raise is protection from a flush draw, so that's why I thought $3 or so.

But, with a small raise, villain might call with crap like a gutshot or Tx, and will probably become passive and avoid bluffing at hero which makes hero's decisions easier and can lead to easier pot size control.

Is that the gist of why you're saying a small flop raise is ok, Fnord and Storm?
